Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., requests the public’s help identifying the suspect pictured below who stole an electric scooter on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.
The victim parked his scooter in the 40 block of Pacific Street at approximately 4:25 p.m.and walked into a store. When he returned five minutes later, his scooter was gone. On surveillance video, the suspect took the scooter and rode away on Pacific Street.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information on the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS(1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are confidential and could result in a reward.
