Traffic Alert: Southbound M-53 Closure at 32 Mile Road
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has officially announced that work will begin on Tuesday, August 12, requiring the southbound lanes of M-53 at 32 Mile Road to be closed through August 19.
Detour Route:
• Westbound 34 Mile Road to Fisher Road
• Southbound Fisher Road to 32 Mile Road
• Eastbound 32 Mile Road to Mound Road
• Southbound Mound Road to 30 Mile Road
• Eastbound 30 Mile Road back to Southbound M-53
We know this project will create some temporary inconveniences, but these improvements are important for maintaining a safe and reliable roadway. Please allow yourself extra travel time, follow the posted detour signs, and be courteous to fellow motorists and construction crews.
