Adult arts programs launch this fall

Mayor Emily B. Jabbour and the City of Hoboken today announced that the Division of Cultural Affairs will launch its first-ever fall arts classes for adults ages 18 and older, expanding the City's arts programming to serve residents of all ages.

Registration opens Friday, Aug. 7, at 6 p.m. through RecDesk for three new eight-week adult classes: Acting, Drawing, and Salsa. The City will also offer a wide range of returning arts programs for children, teens, and residents with special needs.

The new adult offerings are the first step in a broader expansion of arts programming, with additional classes to be considered based on community interest and enrollment.

Accessibility survey extension announced

The City today extended the deadline for the City's public accessibility survey, giving residents, businesses, community organizations, and visitors additional time to share feedback on Hoboken's sidewalks, crosswalks, curb ramps, and other pedestrian infrastructure.

The survey will help inform the City's new Accessibility Action Plan as part of the updated Vision Zero Action Plan, ensuring future investments reflect the community's accessibility needs.

The survey will now remain open through Monday, Aug. 31, at 11:59 p.m.
