NARRATIVE:
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide investigators are assisting San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a deputy-involved shooting investigation. The incident was reported Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at approximately 3:11 PM, on the 13000 Block of East Avenue R-2 in the city of Littlerock.
San Bernardino Sheriff's Detectives were conducting a search warrant near Avenue R and 130th Street East. During the course of their investigation, a deputy-involved shooting occurred, and a San Bernardino County Sheriff's detective was struck by gunfire. The detective was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment and is listed in stable condition.
The suspect was pronounced deceased at the scene.
