New Pedestrian Crosswalk & Flashing Crossing Signals Dakota Dunes Blvd to Cross from Meadows Blvd and Prairie Blvd 
To improve pedestrian safety, the Dakota Dunes CID has completed upgrades to the crosswalk on Dakota Dunes Boulevard to cross from Meadows Blvd and Prairie Blvd.
- A new continental-style crosswalk was installed in May 2026.
- LED flashing pedestrian crossing signs were installed in August 2026.
- Pedestrians can activate the flashing lights using push buttons located on the Meadows Blvd side, Dakota Dunes Blvd center median, and Prairie Blvd side.
- The flashing lights alert drivers that pedestrians are preparing to cross or are in the crosswalk.
- South Dakota law requires motorists to stop for pedestrians in marked crosswalks.
- Drivers may not pass a vehicle that is stopped for a pedestrian at a crosswalk.
- Please do not block intersections or crosswalks while waiting in traffic.
