Traffic Stop in Needles Leads to Drug and Ammunition Arrest

DATE/TIME: August 6, 2026, at approximately 12:12 a.m.

INCIDENT: PC 30305(A)(1) - Felon in Possession of Unlawful Ammunition
PC 3455 - Violation of Community Release Supervision
H&S 11378 - Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale

LOCATION: Walnut Street and L Street, Needles, CA

SUSPECT(S): Enrique Lovato, 43-years-old, Resident of Mohave Valley, AZ
Lisa Marin, 55-years-old, Resident of Bullhead City, AZ

VICTIM(S): State of California


SUMMARY: On Thursday, August 6, 2026, at approximately 12:12 a..m., deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department conducted a traffic enforcement stop near Walnut Street and L Street in the city of Needles for vehicle code violations. During the stop, deputies contacted the driver, identified as Lisa Marin, and the passenger, identified as Enrique Lovato.  Lovato was found to be on active probation, which prompted a lawful search of the vehicle.  

During the search, deputies located a white crystalline substance suspected to be methamphetamine, digital scales, packaging baggies, drug paraphernalia and ammunition.  The investigation determined that Lovato is a felon and is prohibited from possessing ammunition.  

Lovato was subsequently arrested for PC 30305(A)(1) - Felon in Possession of Unlawful Ammunition and 
PC 3455- Violation of Post Release Communiity Supervision.   

Marin was subsequently arrested for H&S 11378 - Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale.

Lovato and Marin were both transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. Lovato remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with no bail, awaiting a court hearing. Marin remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $30,000.00, awaiting a court hearing
