1. Pursuit Arrest (1629) 2000 Block of Mariposa Road, Park District
Officers responded to the listed area for a reported theft. They observed the suspect vehicle leaving at a high rate of speed and attempted to stop it. The suspect failed to yield, leading officers on a brief pursuit. The vehicle eventually yielded, and the suspects were taken into custody without incident. Four young children were found inside the vehicle. ARRESTED: #1 Cristina Gutierrez, 30, for child endangerment, driving under the influence, organized retail theft, and pursuit charges. #2 Takia Johns, 31, for organized retail theft.
2. Resisting Arrest (2153) Worth Street and California Street, Seaport District
Officers were investigating a hit-and-run collision in the listed area when the suspect returned to the scene. The suspect resisted officers’ attempts to detain him, and force was used to take him into custody. ARRESTED: Jose Coronado, 23, for resisting arrest and hit-and-run.
3. Robbery (2220) 600 Block of West Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Seaport District
The female victim, 45, was working at a business in the listed area when the suspect approached. The suspect simulated having a firearm and demanded the product that the victim was carrying. The suspect took the product from the victim and fled on foot. The victim was uninjured. SUSPECT: White male adult.
