HALEDON DAY 2026 PUBLIC SAFETY NOTICE
On behalf of Chief of Police Angelo J. Daniele and Deputy Chief of Police George Guzman, Jr., please be advised that the Haledon Police Department is looking forward to welcoming residents and visitors to Haledon Day 2026, celebrating America's 250th Anniversary, on Saturday, August 8, 2026.
To help ensure a safe and enjoyable event for everyone, please review the following important information:
Event Schedule:
11:35 AM: Haledon Day Parade steps off from the Haledon Municipal Complex.
The parade will travel along Belmont Avenue and conclude at Roe Street Field.
12:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Haledon Day festivities, including rides, games, inflatables, vendors, food trucks, petting zoo, zip lining, and family activities.
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM: Fireworks festivities. Fireworks begin at approximately 9:00 PM.
Parking & Traffic Information:
Please plan ahead and expect traffic delays.
Emergency No Parking signs have been posted along the parade route and will be strictly enforced.
No parking will be permitted at the Haledon Recreation Center nor on or around Roe Street Field/Park
Free Public Parking is available at:
Haledon Municipal Complex 510 Belmont Avenue Haledon, NJ 07508
Bridgeway Community Church 381 Haledon Avenue Haledon, NJ 07508
FREE shuttle service will operate between these parking locations and Roe Street Field throughout the event, with shuttles running approximately every 15 minutes.
Security Screening:
For the safety of all attendees, all guests entering Haledon Day will pass through a security checkpoint before entering the event. Bags and large items are subject to screening. Please arrive early to allow additional time for entry.
Prohibited Items
For the safety of all attendees, the following items are prohibited inside the Haledon Day event:
Firearms and weapons of any kind (except law enforcement)
Knives, box cutters, or other sharp objects
Explosives, fireworks, or incendiary devices
Alcoholic beverages
Illegal drugs or controlled substances
Glass bottles or containers
Drones or unmanned aircraft systems
Laser pointers
Outside grills or open flames
Tents, canopies, or large umbrellas
Bicycles, e-bikes, scooters, skateboards, hoverboards, or similar devices (unless authorized)
Large coolers
Pets (service animals are welcome)
Any item deemed unsafe or prohibited by security personnel
Once again, no general vehicular traffic will be permitted inside the event grounds! Accessible parking will be available for authorized vehicles only.
