INCIDENT: PC 211 – Armed Robbery
LOCATION: 11400 block of Fashion Court, Hesperia
SUSPECT(S): James Dunham, 34-year-old resident of Yermo
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Thursday, August 6, 2026, deputies from the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station responded to a gas station in the 11400 block of Fashion Court, in Hesperia, for a report of an armed robbery. The suspect, later identified as James Dunham, entered the gas station, walked to the back of the store, and took two coffees from the refrigerator. Dunham approached the clerk, displayed the grip of a black semi-automatic handgun, and ordered the clerk to give him all of the money in the cash register, as well as five packs of cigarettes. The clerk complied with the orders and Durham fled.
Several minutes later, Dunham committed two more robberies at gas stations in the 12900 block of Mariposa Road, and the 16200 block of D Street, in Victorville.
Detectives from the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station assumed the investigation and positively identified Dunham as the suspect. Through additional investigation, Dunham and his vehicle were located at his residence in Yermo, California. With the assistance of the Hesperia Gang Enforcement Team, a search warrant was served at Dunham’s residence. Dunham was located and evidence of the crime was recovered. Dunham was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center, where he is held on a $200,000.00 bail.
