The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) informs the community that both the Deanwood Community Center and the Deanwood Aquatic Center will close today, Friday, August 7, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. due to an emergency water shut-off in the area by DC Water. Due to this closure, extended hours (11:00 p.m. closing) will be moved to Barry Farm Recreation Center. Deanwood is expected to reopen once water service is restored, in time for normal Saturday operating hours.
