* At 725 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 11 miles south of Nara Visa to 15 miles northwest of Ute Lake State Park, moving south at 10 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and ping pong ball size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
* Locations impacted include... Tucumcari, Logan, San Jon, Ute Lake State Park and Bard. This includes the following highways... Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 327 and 373. State Road 104 between Mile Markers 92 and 105.

Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. These storms are capable of producing widespread damaging winds and large hail.
