INCIDENT: Traffic Stop Leads to the Recovery of a Loaded Firearm
LOCATION: Hook Boulevard and Abbotsford Lane, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Jayceeion Vasser, 18-years-old, Resident of Victorville
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Saturday, August 8, 2026, at approximately 12:40 a.m., deputies assigned to the Victorville City Gang Impact Team (VCGIT), conducted a proactive traffic enforcement stop near Hook Boulevard and Abbotsford Lane involving a Hyundai Sonata driven by 18-year-old, Jayceeion Vasser, a resident of Victorville.
During the investigation, deputies searched the vehicle and recovered a loaded 9mm Glock 19X handgun equipped with a large-capacity magazine. During the contact, Vasser also attempted to bribe deputies in an effort to avoid arrest.
Vasser was arrested for Penal Code 25850(a) – Carrying a Loaded Firearm in Public, Penal Code 32310(a) – Possession of a Large-Capacity Magazine, and Penal Code 67 – Bribery of an Executive Officer. He was booked at the High Desert Detention Center.
The Victorville City Gang Impact Team continues to proactively target illegal firearms and individuals who contribute to violent crime, enhancing the safety and quality of life for those who live, work, and visit the City of Victorville.
