The female victim, 18, was in the listed area when she got into an argument with the known suspect. The suspect took the victim’s property from her and vandalized it. The suspect fled in a vehicle but was later located and arrested by officers. The victim was uninjured. ARRESTED: Armando Chavez, 21, for robbery and vandalism.
2. Person Shot (0501) 200 Block of North Wilson Way, Park District
The male victim, 32, was in the area of the call location when the unknown suspect approached him, demanded money, and shot him. The suspect fled on foot. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury. SUSPECT: Unknown race male adult.
