The male victim, 30, was in the area when three suspects approached him. They produced a knife and battered him. The suspect took the victim's property. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries received medical treatment at an area hospital. SUSPECTS. 2 Black male adults and 1 White male adult.
2. Resisting Arrest (0900) 700 Block of West Hammer Lane, Lakeview District
An officer conducted a checkout on a vehicle when one of the occupants became uncooperative and attempted to walk away. The officer repeatedly ordered him to stop, but he ignored. The officer used force to take the suspect into custody. ARRESTED: John Sabota, 39, for resisting arrest.
3. Weapon Arrest (1511) 2500 Block of South Turnpike Road, Seaport District
Officers stopped a vehicle in the area for a traffic violation. During the stop, an officer found a loaded rifle in plain view. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. ARRESTED: Marcos Reese,
