Sheriff Clint Roach reports that on 8-9-26 at 2:00pm, deputies of the Cass County Sheriff’s Office (MI) responded to a report of a masked and armed prowler in the area of Dailey Rd. and Pine Lake St. in Cass County’s Jefferson Township. This report came from a resident of the area who stated the suspect was trying to break into a home. The suspect was found and confronted by deputies. The suspect raised a firearm and pointed it at the deputies. A deputy shot at the suspect and the suspect dropped his firearm. The suspect again fled and was taken into custody minutes later after threatening the deputies with knives. He was Tased by an assisting officer. The suspect, a juvenile, was lodged in a juvenile facility. No one was hurt and there is no danger to the public.
