* Until 900 PM EDT.

* At 818 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 4 miles southeast of Spruce Pine to near Morganton, moving north at 15 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include... Morganton, Crossnore, Table Rock, Linville Falls, Ingalls, Altamont, Pineola, Collettsville, Ashford, and Jonas Ridge.

* AFFECTED AREAS: AVERY, NC ... BURKE, NC ... CALDWELL, NC ... MCDOWELL, NC ... MITCHELL, NC
