Activity for August 7-9, 2026: Officers responded to 217 calls for service, made 20 arrests, and 116 traffic stops.

August 7, 2026:

  • Officer Bean was dispatched to the 200 block of South Jackson Street for a personal welfare check. A 49-year-old female was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
  • Officer Bean responded to a weapons complaint in the 1000 block of Williams Street. Officers executed a search warrant on a residence and seized multiple firearms. The investigation is ongoing.
  • Officer Vernier was dispatched to the 100 block of Shahan Drive for a found firearm.
  • Officer Soloman observed a subject violating a personal protection order in the 1500 block of East Michigan Avenue. A 74-year-old female was arrested for violating a personal protection order.
  • Officer Simon conducted a traffic stop near South Elm Avenue and Teneyck Street. A 28-year-old male was arrested on multiple outstanding felony warrants.
  • Officer Frazier conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of Greenwood Avenue. A 25-year-old male was arrested for multiple conditional bond violations.
  • Officer Beekel responded to Lansing Avenue and Hill Street for a traffic crash involving a motorcycle. A 29-year-old male was transported to the hospital. Charges will be sought on the male for driving while intoxicated.
  • Officer Soloman conducted a traffic stop at North Cooper Street and Homewild Avenue. The 32-year-old female driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated (3rd offense). A 31-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
  • Officer Simon was dispatched to a single vehicle crash near North Jackson Street and West Mason Street. The 21-year-old male driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated (high blood alcohol content/super drunk).
August 8, 2026:
  • Officer Bean responded to the 100 block of West Franklin Street for a disorderly subject. A 58-year-old male was arrested for 2nd degree home invasion and conditional bond violation.
  • Officer Delgado was dispatched to a domestic dispute in the 400 block of Dewey Avenue. A 39-year-old male was arrested for conditional bond violation.
  • Officer Allison assisted Blackman Township with a retail fraud investigation in the 300 block of West Michigan Avenue.
  • Officers attended the Victims of Violent Crime Memorial Rededication at Cascades Park.
  • Officer Soloman made contact with a subject in the 1500 block of East Michigan Avenue. A 31-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
  • Officer Frazier conducted a traffic stop near East South Street and South Cooper Street. Officer Schram and K9 Taz responded to assist, and K9 Taz indicated the presence of narcotics. Narcotics were located on both occupants. A 61-year-old male was arrested for possession of narcotics with the intent to distribute. A 32-year-old female was arrested for possession of narcotics, and an outstanding felony warrant.
  • Officer Soloman responded to a rollover crash near East Ganson Street and North Mechanic Street. A 48-year-old male was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
  • Office Beekel was dispatched to the 400 block of Park Place for a disorderly subject. A 38-year-old male was arrested on multiple outstanding warrants. A 35-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
  • Officer Soloman responded to a traffic crash near South Jackson Street and West Morrell Street. A 30-year-old female was transported to the hospital. Charges will be sought on the female for driving while intoxicated.
  • Officer Frazier met with deputies from Ingham County for a warrant pick-up. A 32-year-old male was lodged at JSO on an outstanding felony warrant for assault with the intent to murder.
August 9, 2026:
  • Officer Vernier was dispatched to the 300 block of Moorman Drive for a larceny report. A 36-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
  • Officer Tierney responded to the Hillsdale County Jail for a warrant pick-up. A 35-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
  • Officer Bean was dispatched to Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and East Washington Avenue for a personal welfare check. A 26-year-old male was arrested for resisting and obstructing, and conditional bond violation.
  • Officer Soloman responded to a domestic dispute in the 200 block of East Wilkins Street. A 21-year-old male was arrested for domestic assault.
