The victim who succumbed to his injuries has been identified as 24-year-old Shakur Wilmer.

Wilmington Police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred at the intersection of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and North Adams Street.
On August 9 at approximately 9:17 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles. Two occupants of one of the vehicles – a 24-year-old male and a 23-year-old female – were injured, and both were transported to the hospital. The 24-year-old male victim was transported in critical condition and succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
