A large, potent system to the west is leading to an increase in numerous downpours and storms across central PA. These arrive in our area in the late afternoon, bringing an elevated threat for damaging gusts, which will lead to downed trees and powerlines. While not nearly as concerning as the several flooding risks we have had over the last month, storms will be accompanied by heavy downpours which can lead to some poor drainage and roadway ponding, but the transient nature of storms today will limit the potential. The batch of downpours and storms will swiftly exit to the east in the early evening, giving way to quiet conditions overnight.
