...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 130 PM EDT FOR
ELKHART...ST. JOSEPH...NORTHWESTERN KOSCIUSKO...MARSHALL...CASS AND
BERRIEN COUNTIES...
At 100 PM EDT, a severe squall line capable of producing both
tornadoes and extensive straight line wind damage was located along a
line extending from near Bridgman to South Bend to near Bremen to
near Argos, moving east at 60 mph.
HAZARD...Tornadoes and wind gusts in excess of 90 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.
Locations impacted include...
South Bend, Elkhart, Mishawaka, Goshen, Warsaw, Niles, Benton Harbor,
Plymouth, St. Joseph, Nappanee, Dowagiac, Bremen, Buchanan, Granger,
Dunlap, Simonton Lake, Gulivoire Park, Benton Heights, Fair Plain,
and Osceola.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 196 near mile marker 0.
Interstate 80 in Indiana between mile markers 62 and 104.
Interstate 94 in Michigan between mile markers 1 and 34.

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
