LOCATION: Heavenly Avenue and Broadway Road, Joshua Tree, CA
SUSPECT(S): Valarie Glover, 42-year-old resident of Joshua Tree
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY:
On Sunday, August 2, 2026, Morongo Basin Station deputies responded to a reported theft at a property under renovation in the unincorporated area of Joshua Tree area. The victim reported approximately $15,000 worth of construction equipment and tools had been stolen by unknown suspect(s).
During the initial investigation, Deputy E. McKee located shoe impressions and wheelbarrow tire tracks leading from the victim’s property toward a nearby residence. While investigating the neighboring property, Deputy McKee located property reported stolen by the victim. Based on the evidence developed, McKee authored and obtained a search warrant for the residence.
On August 4, 2026, deputies served the search warrant and recovered a large quantiy of suspected stolen property, including numerous construction tools and other property believed to be related to other active theft investigations. Deputies also recovered a rifle, and an RV that was previously reported as a stolen vehicle.
During the search, deputies contacted 42-year-old Joshua Tree resident Valarie Glover inside the stolen RV. Based on the evidence recovered and information developed during this investigation, Glover was arrested for possession of stolen property.
The investigation remains ongoing. Deputies are working to identify the rightful owners of the recovered property and determine whether additional thefts may be connected to the investigation
