🚨 Traffic Alert 🚨
The Amarillo Police Department and the Potter County Sheriff's Office are currently on the scene of a crash involving a cattle truck that overturned after experiencing a tire blowout.
One cow is currently on the highway, and for everyone's safety, traffic is closed from northbound I-27 to both eastbound and westbound I-40.
If you need to access I-40 from this area, please use an alternate route until the roadway can be safely reopened.
We understand this closure is inconvenient, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation. Please avoid the area, slow down if you're nearby, and allow law enforcement and emergency crews the space they need to safely clear the scene.
