* At 937 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms with rainfall rates up to 3 inches per hour. Up to 3 inches of rainfall was reported from these storms near Ottawa. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly after the onset of heavy rainfall. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Rapid-onset flooding of creeks, streams, drainage ditches, streets, underpasses, low-lying areas, and other poor drainage areas.
