Wilmington Police make arrest in connection with 2024 shooting incident:
Wilmington Police have made an arrest in connection with a 2024 shooting incident.
On September 19, 2024 at approximately 8:40 p.m., police responded to the 1500 block of West 4th Street in reference to a shooting incident that had occurred. Police located a 49-year-old male gunshot victim, who was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The case was assigned to Detective John O’Connor of the Criminal Investigations Division. Through the course of his investigation, Detective O’Connor identified 31-year-old Rahmir Brayboy as a suspect and obtained warrants for his arrest. Brayboy was subsequently incarcerated in Pennsylvania on an unrelated matter, and was extradited to Delaware following his release on August 12.
Brayboy has been charged with the following offenses:
- Attempted Murder (First Degree)
- Reckless Endangering (First Degree)
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony – Two Counts
- Criminal Mischief (Under $1,000)
