INCIDENT: Distracted Driving Enforcement Operation Results
LOCATION: City of Victorville
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, August 11, 2026, Victorville Station conducted a distracted driving enforcement operation focused on drivers suspected of violating California hands-free cell phone law.
The enforcement operation was conducted from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and resulted in 32 traffic stops and 26 citations. Of those citations, 14 were issued for cell phone violations and 12 were issued for other traffic violations. During the operation, deputies also conducted two driving under the influence (DUI) investigations, which resulted in two DUI arrests.
