FFWIND The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for... Northeastern Madison County in central Indiana... Northern Delaware County in east central Indiana...

* Until 1000 AM EDT.

* At 452 AM EDT, emergency management reported flash flooding in State Road 28 east of Alexandria. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Muncie, Albany, Eaton, Summitville and Gaston. This includes Interstate 69 between mile markers 241 and 251.

* AFFECTED AREAS: DELAWARE, IN ... MADISON, IN

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
