MORGANTON MAN CHARGED FOR DRUG & WEAPON POSSESSION
Deputy Hunter Kirby of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 32-year-old William Andrew Molisee of Morganton with felony Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and felony Possession of Methamphetamine. He was issued a $25,000 secured bond.
On August 12, Deputy Kirby initiated a traffic stop on a Jeep Cherokee at the intersection of Jacktown and Fairview roads in Marion for traffic violations.
Molisee, the driver, was found to be operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. While speaking with Deputy Kirby, Molisee revealed that he was a convicted felon in the state of West Virginia and was in possession of a firearm.
A subsequent search of his person turned up suspected methamphetamine, a loaded syringe containing an unknown substance, numerous unloaded syringes and drug paraphernalia.
Molisee was placed under arrest and transported to the McDowell County Detention Center for processing.
