CITY OF EAST CHICAGO EXTENDED POWER OUTAGE – COOLING STATION AVAILABLE
Mayor Anthony Copeland and the City of East Chicago are providing a Cooling Station at Riley Hall for residents affected by the ongoing widespread power outage.
Due to the extended restoration timeframe and continued power disruptions throughout the city, Riley Hall will be available as a safe, air-conditioned location for residents who need relief.

11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Residents, particularly seniors, families with children, and anyone without access to adequate cooling, are encouraged to take advantage of this facility as needed.
The City will continue monitoring conditions and providing updates to residents as additional information becomes available.
