Wildcat Creek at Kokomo. ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana... Wildcat Creek near Jerome. Mississinewa River near Ridgeville. .Repeating rounds of showers and thunderstorms over the past 72 hours, ending at 8 AM this morning, has brought copious rainfall to eastern, northern central, and much of western Indiana. Maximum radar estimates across a swath from Clinton and Howard counties north of Indianapolis, east-southeast and southeast to Randolph and Decatur counties, show roughly six to 12.5 inches of rain has fallen! This has led to widespread flooding. More rain, on and off, is in the forecast through Sunday. Please keep abreast of changes to the forecast and our river products for the latest.

Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges, dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream, even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route over higher ground. Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet and a depth of 2 feet will float your car.
