...MONSOON MOISTURE WILL BRING SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS THROUGH THIS EVENING... Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop early this afternoon across most districts. These will be a mix of wet and dry thunderstorms especially across the BLM districts. Heavy rain, small hail and outflow winds up to 45 mph will be possible with the strongest storms. The National Weather Service in Boise has issued a Red Flag Warning for lightning, which is in effect from noon today to 9 PM MDT this evening.
* AFFECTED AREA...In Idaho, Fire Weather Zones 400 Northern Boise BLM, 420 Treasure Valley BLM, 423 Owyhee Mountains, 424 Western Twin Falls BLM and 426 Southern Highlands.
* TIMING...From noon today to 9 PM MDT this evening.
* THUNDERSTORMS...Scattered coverage with abundant lightning.
* OUTFLOW WINDS...Gusty erratic winds up to 45 mph.
* IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
