The Jamesburg Police Department is aware that multiple fire hydrants throughout the Borough are currently open. New Jersey American Water has also been notified and is aware of the situation.
At this time, please do not call 9-1-1 to report these hydrants unless there is a life-threatening emergency or an immediate public safety concern. This will help keep emergency phone lines available for those who need them most.
American Water advised :
This is an important notification from New Jersey American Water. Our crews will begin routine flushing of the water distribution system in your area 7/31/2026 through 9/15/2026 to provide you with high-quality water service. Flushing also allows us to test and maintain fire hydrants.
