The Highland Park Police Department is asking for our community's help locating an 84-year-old man who has been missing since Friday afternoon. Mr. Laxminara Gutha is someone's father and grandfather, and his family is worried. We want to bring him home safely.
Mr. Gutha is described as approximately 5'6" and 160 lbs, and he walks with a cane. He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, red and blue checkered pajama pants, and slippers. He does not speak English; his native language is Telugu. He was last seen at 12:00 PM (noon) on Friday, August 14, 2026, in the area of Jackson Avenue and Janeway Avenue, near Cleveland Avenue.

If you live or work in that area, please check any security or doorbell cameras you may have for footage from noon on 8/14 to the present. Mr. Gutha may appear walking on his own, and even a brief sighting could point us in the right direction.
