FFWRLX The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... East Central Roane County in central West Virginia... Central Braxton County in north central West Virginia... Central Calhoun County in north central West Virginia... Southern Gilmer County in north central West Virginia...

* Until 630 PM EDT.

* At 337 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Gassaway, Cedar Creek State Park, Arnoldsburg, Burnsville, Flatwoods, Shock, Normantown, Rosedale, Cedarville, Stumptown, Nicut, Exchange, Millstone, Orma, Mount Zion and Heaters. This includes Interstate 79 between mile markers 64 and 81.

* AFFECTED AREAS: BRAXTON, WV ... CALHOUN, WV ... GILMER, WV ... ROANE, WV
