Wilmington Police have arrested a woman on drug charges following an investigation.
On August 12 at approximately 1:15 p.m., members of the Drug, Organized Crime and Vice Division were in the 900 block of Kirkwood Street as part of a continuing investigation into violence and drug crimes in the area. Police observed a subject – 21-year-old Kemani Evans – engaged in drug transactions. Investigators made contact with Evans, recovering a small quantity of crack cocaine and marijuana and taking her into custody without incident.
Evans has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Possession of Marijuana
She was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $10,100 cash-only bail.
