The Santa Clara Police Department (SCPD) has arrested a suspect in connection with a reported sexual assault that occurred on July 13, 2026, at around 1:30 am, in Carmichael Park located at 3445 Benton Street.
On July 13, 2026, SCPD Public Safety Dispatchers received a report of someone yelling for help from Carmichael Park located at 3445 Benton Street. SCPD officers responded to the area. As officers arrived on scene, an unknown male suspect fled on foot north from the park and was last seen jumping over the fence at an adjacent condominium complex on Benton Street. SCPD Officers located an adult female victim and determined that a sexual assault had occurred. Despite significant efforts at the scene, the suspect eluded arrest.
SCPD Detectives responded to the scene and began an investigation into the case. With the assistance of the Santa Clara County Crime Lab and Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Identification Unit (SIU) Detectives used all available evidence and identified 24-year-old Marlon Fernando Tziacambrosio as the suspect. An arrest warrant was obtained for the suspect.
On Tuesday, August 4, 2026 after conducting surveillance detectives located and arrested Suspect Tziacambrosio in Santa Clara. The suspect was booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail.
