On August 24, 2026, Hecktown Road over US 22 will be closed for a long-term Pennsylvania Department of Transportation construction project (bridge replacement). The closure will last until approximately December, 2027. See the attached image for the closure (highlighted in red).
Detours will be in place. The detour route utilizes Green Pond and Country Club Roads in Bethlehem Township and Hecktown Road in Lower Nazareth Township. If commuting to Northampton Community College, anticipate extended travel times, especially since Bethlehem Area School District starts their school year on the same date.
