OPD NEWS:
The Oakland Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating Edith Egas, an 80-year-old woman considered
at risk due to dementia.
Egas was last seen around 7:30 p.m. on August 17, 2026, in the 4100 block of Lyon Avenue. She was wearing a black hoodie and blue leggings.
Egas is described as a Black female, 5'5 tall, 100 pounds, with brown/gray hair and blue eyes.
Anyone with information on Egas’s whereabouts is asked to contact the
Oakland Police Department's Missing Persons Unit at (510) 238-3641.
