DECEDENT: 71-year-old Female
INVOLVED VEHICLE: Chevy Silverado
DRIVER: 60-year-old Male
INVOLVED VEHICLE: Semi-Truck
SUMMARY:
On Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at approximately 7:37 a.m., deputies from the Victor Valley station responded to a traffic collision on Palmdale Road, east of Richardson Street in Adelanto.
Through investigation, deputies learned the driver of a semi-truck who was traveling eastbound, lost control and swerved into the westbound lane, colliding with a Chevy Silverado.
The driver of the Chevy Silverado was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was transported to a local hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
The Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) is seeking assistance from anyone who may have witnessed the collision.
