On August 14, the Central Marin Police Authority conducted a CDL/DUI checkpoint on Red Hill Avenue in San Anselmo. During the operation, 1,167 vehicles passed through the checkpoint. Officers administered 17 Field Sobriety Tests (FSTs), resulting in one DUI arrest, and issued two citations for open container violations.
Approximately 30 drivers were referred to a secondary inspection area for not having their driver's licenses in their possession. As a result, officers issued six citations for driving without a valid driver's license.
No vehicles were towed.
