Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., requests the public’s help in identifying the pictured male suspects in connection with an assault that occurred on Monday, August 10, 2026.
At approximately 1:32 a.m., Police responded to the 100 block of Parker Street on a call of an assault. A man was assaulted by two male suspects, who accused him of double parking and blocking a vehicle, preventing them from driving away from the location. The victim was punched in the head and face, resulting in lacerations to his nose and forehead. He was transported to University Hospital for medical evaluation.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information on the identity of either male suspect to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
