In recognition of the 70th anniversary of the line of duty death of San Mateo Reserve Officer Steven Clark, the San Mateo Police Department will be holding it's brief public memorial for Off. Clark at Bay Meadows Park on 28th Ave. (the location of his death) today from 3:30-4pm. In order to pay our respects, numerous police vehicles and a fire truck will be there blocking the roadway, so out of safety for drivers, we will be blocking 28th Ave. from Saratoga Dr. to Paddock Way until the ceremony is over.
Please use an alternate route to enter the Bay Meadows community during this time. We will disperse as quickly as possible.
