Give Utility Crews the Space They Need to Work Safely
As recovery efforts continue following Storm Lucy, thousands of utility workers, contractors and mutual assistance crews are working around the clock across northern Indiana to restore power safely and as quickly as possible.
Today, we're asking for your support. When you see restoration crews working in your neighborhood, please respect and maintain a safe work area in order for the work to be done safely. Slow down near work zones and abide by road closure signs or barricades, follow directions from public safety personnel, and avoid entering active work areas. Every crew member's focus should be on rebuilding the electric system and restoring service safely for customers as safely and quickly as possible.
Crews working to restore power are here to help communities recover. Any actions that interfere with their work or impact their safety can delay restoration efforts and impact the customers and neighborhoods waiting for service to be restored.
