Activity for August 19, 2026:
- Officers responded to the 200 block of West Morrell Street after receiving a Raven alert for shots fired. A subject was located with a graze wound to their head. The 24-year-old male victim was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. A suspect has been identified.
- Officer Morse responded to the 1600 block of Lansing Avenue for a warrant arrest. A 24-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
- Officer Brooker was dispatched to Steward Avenue and Trail Street for a vehicle stuck on the railroad tracks. A 60-year-old female was arrested for driving while intoxicated (high blood alcohol content/super drunk).
- GVI hosted the last Summer Safety Series for 2026 at Loomis Park.
- Officer Tenney located a wanted subject in the 400 block of West Monroe Street. A 29-year-old female was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
- Officer Fitzpatrick responded to the 1400 block of East Michigan Avenue for a warrant pick-up. A 25-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
- Officer Tenney located a wanted subject in the 800 block of West Ganson Street. A 51-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
- Officer Miller conducted a traffic stop near West High Street and Greenwood Avenue. A 35-year-old male was in violation of a personal protection order that had already been violated multiple times. The male subject was arrested for aggravated stalking.
