As power restoration efforts continue across our service area, some residents in your community may be unable to have service restored immediately because repairs are needed to the electrical equipment serving their home or business.
In these situations, a licensed electrical contractor must complete the necessary repairs. Once the work is finished, the local jurisdiction must conduct and approve an inspection to ensure the equipment is safe before we can re-energize service at the meter.
Attached is a document that outlines this process in greater detail. We respectfully ask that you share this information with your building and inspection departments and help distribute it to your residents through your communication channels. Many community members, or their family members and neighbors, may be facing this situation and will benefit from understanding the steps required to safely restore service.
