BURN BAN NOTICE
Friday, Aug 21st, 2026:
ALL burning on the Bad River Reservation is banned due to increasing fire danger and drought conditions.
This restriction is in effect until further notice.
Other burning restrictions may be in place outside of the Bad River Reservation, check Wisconsin DNR website for those restrictions. Human activities cause 98% of wildfires statewide.
Ceremonial fires are still allowed within the Reservation boundary, but maximum safety precautions must be followed, and the Chief Warden must be notified of the general location beforehand.
