If you were startled by the tornado sirens sounding a short while ago, please rest assured that you and your family are safe. There is no severe weather in the region.
DU-COMM (DuPage Public Safety Communications) is actively looking into the cause of the accidental trigger.
Statement from DuPage Public Safety Communications (DU-COMM):
"We are aware of the tornado siren activation a few minutes ago. There is no severe weather, and this was not part of a planned test. We are investigating the cause and apologize for the confusion."
