SCAM ALERT: Callers Impersonating North Brunswick Police
The North Brunswick Township Police Department is warning residents about a phone scam involving callers who are spoofing the Police Department’s phone number and pretending to be North Brunswick police officers or the Chief of Police.
Scammers may claim that you have an outstanding warrant, are involved in an identity theft investigation, or use other stories designed to create fear or urgency. They may then demand money or payment through gift cards, wire transfers, cryptocurrency, or other methods.
The North Brunswick Township Police Department will NEVER demand money or payment over the phone.
If you receive a suspicious call claiming to be from the North Brunswick Township Police Department, use caution and do not provide personal or financial information. Hang up and call the Police Department directly at 732-545-3200.
