All three individuals who left AMIkids Beaufort in Seabrook have been located.
On Saturday night, Aug. 22, Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office deputies located Jaquan Sumpter. Sumpter was taken into custody and booked into the Beaufort County Detention Center on the following charges:
- Fleeing to evade arrest or detention
- Escape; attempted escape or possession of tools to escape from prison; recaptured
- Contributing to the delinquency of a minor, two counts
On Sunday, Aug. 23, Ayden Wilson and Jeremy McDonnell were located and detained by Colleton County Sheriff’s Office deputies. Both juveniles were transported to the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice.

The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for three juveniles who ran away from AMIkids Beaufort, located at 60 Honeybee Island Road in Seabrook.
Deputies are asking the public to be on the lookout for the following juveniles:
Jaquan Sumpter, 18
- Approximately 5 feet, 7 inches tall and 165 pounds
- Short black hair and brown eyes
- Last seen wearing dark gray or black sweatpants, a white T-shirt and shower shoes
Ayden Wilson, 17
- Approximately 5 feet, 7 inches tall and 165 pounds
- Black dreadlocks and brown eyes
- Last seen wearing black shorts, a white T-shirt and shower shoes
Jeremy McDonnell, 14
- Approximately 5 feet, 5 inches tall and 130 pounds
- Short, curly brown hair and brown eyes
- Last seen wearing dark gray or black sweatpants, a white T-shirt and shower shoes
Anyone who sees Sumpter, Wilson or McDonnell, or has information regarding their whereabouts, is asked to contact the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office by calling our non-emergency dispatch line at 843-524-2777.
Please do not attempt to approach or detain them. Call law enforcement and provide their location and direction of travel.
