Wilmington Police arrest two adult males and two juvenile males on gun charges:

Wilmington Police have arrested two adult males and two juvenile males on gun charges following an investigation.

On August 20th at approximately 11:00 a.m., members of the Safe Streets Task Force executed an administrative warrant in the 1200 block of Conrad Street. Officers made contact with two 16-year-old male juveniles, 21-year-old Javierre Wilson and 19-year-old Antwain Canty, who were all taken into custody without incident. Officers recovered a loaded .40 caliber handgun equipped with a switch, a loaded .45 caliber handgun with an obliterated serial number, numerous rounds of various ammunition and 77 grams of marijuana.

The first 16-year-old male juvenile has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited- Two Counts
  • Possession of a Weapon with an Obliterated Serial Number
  • Possession of a Destructive Weapon
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Family Court and committed to Vision Quest on $32,000 secured bail.

The second 16-year-old male juvenile has been charged with the following offenses:
  • Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited- Four Counts
  • Possession of a Weapon with an Obliterated Serial Number
  • Possession of a Destructive Weapon
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Family Court and committed to the New Castle County Detention Center on $27,500 cash-only bail.

Wilson has been charged with the following offenses:
  • Possession of  a Weapon with an Obliterated Serial Number
  • Possession of a Destructive Weapon
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Facility pending further proceedings.

Canty has been charged with the following offenses:
  • Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited- Two Counts
  • Possession of a Weapon with an Obliterated Serial Number
  • Possession of a Destructive Weapon
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $70,000 cash-only bail.
