Newhall - On Monday, August 24th at approximately 2:50 a.m., a fire was reported at the commercial property located at the 24000 block of Railroad Avenue, in the City of Newhall.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Arson and Explosives Detail investigators responded and are currently working alongside the Los Angeles County Fire Department to determine the origin and cause of the fire. Due to the extensive damage and size of the affected area, Fire Department personnel are assisting Arson and Explosives Detail investigators with the excavation of the scene to allow for a thorough examination and identification of the fire’s area of origin.
The investigation remains ongoing, and no determination regarding the cause has been made at this time.
